User Experience (UX) Design is the study of user behavior and understanding user motivations with the goal of designing better digital experiences. It's the process of creating websites and apps with users in mind. Think of it as the bridge that connects technology and human needs.
UX Designers
UX Designers are sets of people that study user behaviors for the goal of making digital interactions smooth and delightful. Some points UX Designers consider before making a design are:
Do users need the product?
How very much do they want it?
What key features are not to be missing.
Features that users might not be interested in.
They also consider critical implementation conditions like:
The organization of contents so the users can easily find them.
How easy can users find your app/product easy to use.
Needed contents and how they should appear to be most engaging.
On the product surface, UX Designers consider:
The visual tone of the product.
How visually appealing the product is and the level of joy it brings to users.
The accessibility and usability of the visual design.
The UX Pyramid
The UX Pyramid is an excellent framework for categorizing UX effort and tracking progress. The Pyramid has six levels;
Level 1: Focus on the functionality of the design and how it works.
Level 2: The reliability of the design, availability and accuracy.
Level 3: Usability; how easy it is to be used.
Level 4: It’s convenience and how it fits with the life and work of a user the way they want.
Level 5: Pleasurable; is it an enjoyable experience that’s worth sharing?
Level 6: It’s meaning, personal or social significance.
